Our Beginner Levels
Check out our Beginner 1 and Beginner 2 levels designed for our newest swimmers! Here, they will learn the basics of water safety, self-rescue, and freestyle.
About Our Beginner 1 Level
Foundational swim skills for children with little experience in the water or first time in lessons learning front crawl style swimming.
Skill Accomplishments upon Completion of this Level:
• Ready to promote to Beginner 2
• Swim 1 length of the pool (30 feet) independently with the rollover breathing technique
• 10-15 second submersion
• 10+ second back float
• Arrows off the wall for 5-10 feet
• Jumps in the deep end and recovers to the wall independently


About Our Beginner 2 Level
Foundational swim skills to increase confidence with front crawl technique and develop a good breathing rhythm. Developing independent swimming on the back in the deep end.
Prerequisites for this Level:
• Swim 15 yards front crawl independently with face in and rollover breathing technique
• Back float for at least 10 seconds
•Jump in the deep end and recover independently
Skill Accomplishments upon Completion of this Level:
• Ready to promote to Intermediate 1
• Swim 1 lap (30 yards) front crawl with rhythmic rollover breathing technique
•Swim 1 map (30 yards) elementary backstroke arms (tickle-tee-touch)
• Dive from the side on the knees
• Complete comfort in the deep end
